The Business Office manages all financial responsibilities and provides administrative support to USTA-ITS and IRIS.
The BI team facilitates the use of information for improved decision making.
The Enterprise Applications group provides technical guidance, programming services, and reporting support to University System Administration entities, including:
- The University of Tennessee Foundation and the Alumni and Development Information System (ANDI)
- The University of Tennessee Research Foundation
- The Office of the President, the Office of Budget and Finance, and many other UTSA areas.
The University of Tennessee System Administration Enterprise Systems Team (UTSA_ITS_Ent_Sys) is responsible for system and database administration in support of system hardware (servers, storage) and software packages that support business processes, information flows, reporting, and data analytics for the University System. The Enterprise Systems team works closely with our OIT UTK counterparts, SAP ABAP programmers, SAP Functional teams and user communities to ensure operational readiness and responsive support.
IRIS Administrative Support is charged with supporting key administrative computing systems for the University of Tennessee System. Our primary focus is the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software from SAP although we help integrate financial, budget, procurement, human resources and payroll data with a number of other core systems both on premise and hosted.
IRIS is responsible for enhancing, maintaining, and supporting the functional operations of the ERP system to accomplish and further the goals and objectives of various operational units across the state. We work closely with all campuses and key administrative offices such as the Office of the Treasurer, Controller, Budget and Finance, Human Resources and the Payroll Office to continuously improve administrative computing processes for the University of Tennessee. The University of Tennessee System Administration Information Security Office (UTSA ISO) defines and maintains the information systems security posture of the university as it relates to user needs and industry standards. We maintain open lines of communication with the university user community to continually update the policies as they relate to the changing posture of the information systems industry.
